As always we have made a donation to my Dad's tribute fund in aid of MND instead of sending Christmas cards this year. Over the last 18 months, £2,500 has been donated to MND in memory of our Dad. With the amount raised we have paid for a detailed analysis of the DNA of someone with MND to help the MND association better understand the causes of the disease AND paid for a text to speech device to give someone with MND the ability to continue to communicate with their loved ones. The recent passing of the awe inspiring Doddie Weir, the amazing fundraising achievements of Kevin Sinfield and the heartbreaking plight of Rob Burrows has brought MND to the forefront and is a cause incredibly close to our hearts. Last November, the government promised a £50 million injection into research in the hope of finding a cure but this has not yet been delivered. So, THANK YOU so much to all those who have supported my fundraising pages. It means so much to keep my Dad's memory alive. We hope all our family and friends have a peaceful Christmas and we wish you all health and happiness for the year ahead.
